Description:

The Action Plan is aimed at increasing the workforce with digital skills. The Plan’s characteristics are the following:

Courses given by the National Service for Professional Promotion (SNPP) will cover training for 100,000 young people.
Strategic partnerships were established with international organizations and large businesses and institutes of experts in technology use, such as Microsoft, Coursera, Cisco Mexico, Paraguayan Chamber of Software Industry, and Nestlé.
The National Vocational Education and Training System (SINAFOCAL) will teach courses to labor unions, training institutes and NGOs.
Internships will be available to beneficiaries awarded with a certification in five digital competencies through the SNPP’s Internship System.
The Public Employment Service will serve as an intermediary for all graduates willing to connect with a job opportunity.

Objectives:

Providing training in digital skills to 100,000 young people and adults in Paraguay in a period of five years for their professional integration, thus contributing to national productivity growth and the population’s wellbeing through quality technical and professional training, employability, and relevant soft skills.

Describe the challenges of the program:

The challenge of the Digital Generation Action Plan is to train 20,000 young people and adults per year, so as to benefit 100,000 people in a period of five years, as well as offering internships depending on its stability.

Specify if the program has any internal and external evaluations, if applicable, include key findings:

The project will be monitored with two biannual progress reports prepared by executors and including the description of activities undertaken, related products, goals and indicators achieved. These reports will be sent to the highest institutional authority within the Ministry of Labor. Findings are still in progress.
