Mr. Gonsalves began his studies in the United States, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism from Temple University in Philadelphia. After this he got a Juris Doctor from George Washington University Law School and he worked as a corporate litigation attorney. He also achieved a Master of Science degree in Global Affairs from New York University.
Camillo M. Gonsalves also worked as the Senior Crown Counsel for the Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. In 2007 he became Permanent Representative to the United Nations and in 2013 Minister of Foreign Affairs. The same year he was appointed as Senator in the House of Assembly.
He was appointed Minister of Economic Planning, Sustainable Development, Industry, Trade, Information, and Labour on December 2015.
