The Bilateral Cooperation Activity between the Ministries of Labor of Ecuador and Colombia on the National Qualifications System was selected within the framework of the 15th. Call of the OAS Inter-American Network for Labor Administration (RIAL) in March 2022, to be carried out virtually.
The RIAL, coordinated by the OAS, seeks to strengthen the human and institutional capacities of the Ministries of Labor of the Americas through cooperation and technical assistance between them. More information at www.rialnet.org.
OBJECTIVES AND PRODUCT
GENERAL OBJECTIVE: Strengthen the National System of Professional Qualifications (SNC), through the definition of an institutional and governance architecture for the National Qualifications Framework, guaranteeing its sustainability and its articulation with the other components of the SNC.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVE: Transfer of knowledge and experiences to develop and apply an Action and Socialization Plan for the institutional strengthening of the Advisory Council of the National System of Qualifications and Professional Training, agreed upon between public and private actors under the leadership and coordination of the Ministry of Labor.
PRODUCT: At the end of the cooperation, the Ministry of Labor of Ecuador expects to have a Roadmap for the institutional strengthening of the Advisory Council for Qualifications and Professional Training of the National System of Professional Qualifications.
Note: Originally the Roadmap was intended to cover the period 2022-2030. However, after the coordination meeting, it was agreed to define its temporality while the cooperation progressed.
