The Bilateral Cooperation Activity between the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion of Peru and the Ministry of Labor and Social Security of Chile, through the Commission of the National System for the Certification of Labor Competencies (ChileValora), on certification of labor competencies was selected within the framework of the 18th Call for Proposals of the Inter-American Network for Labor Administration (RIAL) of the OAS in April 2025, to be held virtually.
OBJECTIVES AND PRODUCT
General objective: To provide a methodological tool for the recognition of the Certificate of Occupational Competence as a mechanism for continuing a training or educational career.
Specific objectives:
- Formulation of an equivalence matrix for recognized competencies in the workplace, with respect to the competencies contained in a study program offered by the training or educational system (weighting and assessment criteria).
- Exercise/pilot study of the application of the instrument or methodology to certificates of occupational competencies based on competency standards, in a sector and occupational profile(s) with the greatest number of training or educational offerings.
- Presentation and systematization of the experience with the validation instrument or methodology.
Product: Methodological tool that facilitates the recognition of the Certificate of Occupational Competence as a mechanism for continuing/transitioning individuals toward their training or educational career.
