Mr. Campa obtained his law degree from the Anahuac University, and was professor of Macroeconomic Theory at the same university. Roberto Campa is a member of the New Alliance Party. He began his political career as a Deputy in the Assembly of Representatives of the Federal District and a Federal Deputy to the LVI Legislature in 1994.
Roberto Campa has also occupied the positions of General Director of the Development Planning Committee, Director of Economic Planning in the Federal District Department and as Technical Secretary of the Reconstruction Committee of Mexico City, and Metropolitan Area during the 1985 earthquakes.
During his time in the public service he has held the positions of Consumer Federal Attorney, Executive Secretary of the National Public Security System, UnderSecretary for Prevention and Citizen Participation in the Secretariat of the Interior (SEGOB), and UnderSecretary of Human Rights in the SEGOB. He was appointed Secretary of Labor and Social Welfare on January 10, 2018.
