Patricia Hajdu

Mrs. Hajdu holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts from Lakehead University and a Master degree in Public Administration from the University of Victoria.
 
Mrs. Patty Hajdu is well respected for her work on substance use issues, harm reduction, housing, and public health. She was the Executive Director at Shelter House, and a key member of the Implementation Panel for the Thunder Bay Drug Strategy. In addition, she was on the Community Advisory Board for the Homelessness Partnering Strategy and served as Chairperson for the Drug Awareness Committee of Thunder Bay. She was formerly on the Board of Directors for Alpha Court Mental Health Services and the Ontario Literacy Coalition. Mrs. Hajdu was sworn in as Minister of Status of Women on November 4, 2015, and since January 2017, she occupies the position of Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Labour.
