The Bilateral Cooperation Activity between the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare (MTyPS) of El Salvador and the Ministry of Labor (MT) of Colombia on labor inclusion with a gap-closing approach was selected within the framework of the 17th Call for Proposals of the OAS Inter-American Network for Labor Administration (RIAL) in April 2024, and was held virtually.
 
OBJECTIVES AND PRODUCT
 
General Objective: Design a protocol of action that strengthens institutional capacities to develop awareness and sensitization programs aimed at the productive sector, in order to mitigate access barriers for populations facing difficulties entering the labor market.
 

Specific Objectives:

 

  • To learn about good practices in programs, actions, and services of the public employment service promoted by the Ministry of Labor of the Republic of Colombia with a gap-closing approach.
  • To provide specialized support to eliminate barriers to labor inclusion in job management and placement services.

Product: Upon completion of the cooperation, the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare of El Salvador (MTPS) aims to have a "Protocol for raising awareness and sensitizing the elimination of barriers to labor inclusion in management and placement services."
